Women in Haiti understand the true meaning of community. As they each work diligently to care for their families, they rely on each other for help and support. At the Joy House, we come along side these ladies to encourage them as they grow in their knowledge and grace of our Lord. Teaching them scriptural truths helps them break cultural strongholds, understand God's great love for them, discover His purpose for their lives, and gives them hope in the midst of difficult times. The Joy House also invests in the lives of Haitian women by training them in skills that may help them to earn a wage, such as making handcrafts or starting their own small grocery business. The Daniel Project is a preventative care clinic for pregnant women and babies, and offers another opportunity for the Joy House to meet the physical and spiritual needs of women in Haiti. Through Bible studies, prayer meetings, education, medical care, fellowship and more, our goal is to point them toward Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith.
